Prevention When dealing with white or light-colored curtains or draperies made of cotton or linen, especially those treated with optical brighteners, it is wise to check for discoloration in the central part of the panels (most likely exposed to light) in comparison to the fabric at the top and bottom of the drape (usually not exposed to light) and call any discoloration to the customer’s attention.
