Exhibition space almost sold out and the number of exhibitors is growing steadily.
From 19 to 22 October, the visitors expected to show up at Fiera Milano are likely to express their interest not only in textile care but also in other relevant topics today, such as industry 4.0, energy saving, environmental sustainability and management systems. The expectations are becoming even higher due to the results of the research that will be presented during the show by Cerved institute on dry-cleaning and industrial laundries of XXI century

EXPOdetergo International 2018, from 19 to 22 October at Fiera Milano in Rho: an identikit of a global exhibition.
It is not only a question of an impressive, blazing facade, but it is its content, in the first place.
The facade alone would be enough to get the uniqueness of the event. The figures confirm this three months before it starts: 16,500 sq. m. sold – total sq. m. available: 17,000 sq. m. – to 240 exhibitors from all around the world.
The figures predict a total sold out. Twenty thousand visitors are expected to be present at the show. They will likely include not only sector operators, e.g. business owners, managers, industrial laundries staff, drycleaning shops and commercial laundry chains but also, just as we have underlined it in Detergo magazine for some time now, other textile care sector figures.
Textile care sector is being constantly enriched by new contacts, synergy and trends concerning other sectors such as hospitality, health care, nursing homes, electronics, 4.0 information technology, distribution chains, environmental protection and energy.
All this results from laundry models that have become more and more multifaceted, complex and economically driving. As a matter of fact, just having a “glance” at communications coming from exhibitors – each of them is a manufacturer of machines, products or a service provider for laundries – ready for the eighteenth edition of EXPOdetergo International that is going to be richer than ever, exhaustive and strongly projected towards the future. The latter one will concern topics like highly automated machines, long lasting textile products, new solvents and natural detergents, 4.0  management IT systems, last generation touch screen technology, energy saving, apps of any kind, ID microchips for garments, self service sector development and growth, and last but not least, energy models and environmental protection that make of a modern laundry one of the most positively open sectors in terms of environmental sustainability.

We are talking about textile care sector that also during the recent economic crisis was clearly tracing the
recovery line, as it was revealed by an important survey by Etsa in 2011. Etsa is a European association of  textile care and the survey results showed that at that time already, the European industrial laundries had reduced gas and oil consumption by 13% if compared to year 2007.
The world of laundries, able to constantly develop, change and renovate, sees certain tendencies become a norm over time. Therefore, EXPOdetergo International, in full synergy with Assofornitori association, commissioned a research on industrial, dry-cleaning and artisan laundries to Cerved, an Italian research institute.

It will be presented on 19 October, on the opening day of the show, during which Fiera Milano will host two events: at 11:00 a.m. where the survey results concerning industrial laundries will be presented (speaker Sara Manfredini) and at 3:00 p.m. dedicated to dry-cleaning (speaker Carmine Iuliano).
The pre-registration procedure for visitors’ tickets has already started, too. It is extremely useful in order to avoid the lines, save time and enter the show immediately.
The expected number of visitors is likely to break a record by overcoming the 20,100 visitors registered in 2014. Visit www.expodetergo.com.
